About Me and My Food.

My food philosophy could be described as Sally Fallon meets the China Study. Or, a cheating vegan.

I use and embrace animal foods, but we try to keep our animal consumption down to about 5% of total calories. We try to eat dairy, meat, and eggs only from pastured animals. I avoid refined sugar (leaning on honey, agave, and sucanat), and strive to eat only whole grains, and for my foods to be as unprocessed as possible.

That being said, we are far from perfect. We are a busy family of four with one on the way, and I just want to be real about what we eat. Mostly for me, but also for all my friends who wonder how to eat less meat and dairy.
